This holiday season, grab this 2020 Wine Advent calendar. Whether you’re gifting to a friend, having a date night in or a virtual zoom happy hour, this 24 mini bottle calendar is perfect to celebrate all month long!
I absolutely LOVE holiday time. I thrive in the chaos, the joy and everything that goes along with it.
Which also means, it’s the most wonderful time of the year…advent calendar time. Anyone, besides me, absolutely love December 1st when you get to open the first door of your calendar to find out what goodie is waiting for you?
This year, at Jewel-Osco you can pick up this 2020 limited edition Wine Advent Calendar which includes 24 unique wines from premier US wine regions in California, Washington and Oregon.
Each day, leading up to Christmas, when you open a “door” you’ll be able to Visit www.24daysofwine.com and learn more about each wine and the region they are from.
Not only is each wine a different variety; there are 13 reds, 9 whites and 2 roses, they all have gorgeous labels. There is no duplicate within the box so you’ll get a new experience each and every day for the entire month of December!
AND the website also gives you a tasting/pairing suggestions, how cool is that?! I personally know I am always wondering what to pair with wine but they’ve done the work for me.
Is it December 1st yet?!
Tis the season for love, giving and enjoying every moment.
I’ve come up with some creative ways you can revel in the season and thoroughly delight in this wine advent calendar box.
It’s the most perfect gift for the wine lover in your life and I have quite a few of them and I’m sure you do too.
When I picked up the advent calendar at Jewel-Osco, but you can also find it at the Albertsons Companies family of stores, including Albertsons, Safeway, Randalls, Tom Thumb and Vons, I immediately thought of my gifting it to my wine loving girlfriend.
While there I had the idea to grab some delicious food and goodies for her to pair with the wine throughout the month.
I picked up some Dark chocolate biscuits, a trio of hummus, pita crackers, mixed nuts and some sharp cheddar cheese.
VIRTUAL ZOOM HAPPY HOUR
Grab your best friends, each of you purchase a wine advent calendar and set up a time, it doesn’t have to be long, to sample the wines each night together.
December can be chaos, but setting aside some time to unwind, chat and sip wine with your girlfriends is so good for the soul!
Take notes on each wine and what you liked about each one. Try and pair the wine with something sweet and/or savory and figure out which is the group favorite. You each may discover you love a specific variety you never knew you did!
DATE NIGHT IN
We love to sample new wines and this is the BEST time to do so.
There are 17 distinct varietals included within the advent calendar to suit every palate and drive experimentation. They include everything from Chardonnay, Cabernet Sauvignon, Pinot Noir and less known varietals like Gewürztraminer.
Tuck the kids into bed, or the fur babies, turn on the fire, and while one of you opens the advent door, your significant other can be reading online about the wine you’ll be sampling.
Savor the wine, nibble on a snack that pairs well and appreciate one another’s company on a chilly, calm December night.
It’s a great way to unwind and destress during the holiday season.
We all need it, right? So put on your coziest holiday themed PJ’s, turn on the tv and pour yourself some wine, you deserve it after all that planning, shopping and wrapping!
I don’t know about you but I simply cannot WAIT until December 1st!
Don’t forget to visit 24daysofwine.com every day to discover all about the wine you’ll be drinking.
