WHAT IS GALENTINE’S DAY?
“It’s only the best day of the year!” February 13th that is, which happens to be Galentine’s Day.
Galentine’s day was invented February 11, 2010 according to Amy Poehler of Parks and Rec Season 2, episode 16.
It’s a day to grab all your best girlfriends, a plethora of red and pink desserts and of course, M&M’S® Chocolate Bars.
It’s basically Valentine’s Day but with your best girlfriends and I, for one, fully support the day, especially when it includes a spread like this Galentine’s Day Dessert Charcuterie.
Galentine’s Day is ladies celebrating ladies!
When it comes to celebrating a holiday, it’s go big or go home for me.
When my girlfriends walk into my house, I want them to feel at home and I want to serve them with the most delicious and festive food.
No celebration is complete without chocolate, and that’s why I made these M&M’S® Milk Chocolate Bar and M&M’S® Peanut Chocolate Bars front and center.
Once I placed those on the board, I decided to add chocolate sauce, marshmallow fluff and cookie butter into ramekins.
I filled the board with candy, cookies and only the most festive Valentine’s Day confectionaries for this candy grazing board.
I also added graham crackers so the girls could make their own s’mores.
Both of the M&M’S® Chocolate Bars are filled with M&M’S® mini candies, and the M&M’S® Peanut Chocolate Bars have peanuts in them, too.
I’ll be grabbing M&M’S® Chocolate Bars for the summer when we spend our nights around a fire, cooking s’mores. They’re perfect!
I plan on inviting my girlfriends over, spending the night catching up with one another and enjoying this Dessert Charcuterie board.
I also plan on gifting each of them with a M&M’S® Milk Chocolate Bar, M&M’S® Peanut Chocolate Bar and this cute DIY travel mug.
