Chocolate Egg Nests

I love all holidays, occasions and parties.  Any reason for a theme simply makes me giddy!  It’s the reason why I have an invitation and printables shoppe.

I developed this gene from my mom.  She’s the queen of setting the tone for any occasion.

When we were kids, she’d gift us with Easter baskets full of our favorite treats, springtime fun (bubbles, flower seeds, chalk) and even stuff the eggs with a few dollars.

Because of the way it made me feel when I was little, I’ve carried that tradition on with my children, family and friends and hope they feel the same way when they go through their baskets.

For Easter this year, I am crafting a basket for my girlfriend, filled with all the kitchen goodies and ingredients to make these Chocolate Nest Cups.  I mean who wouldn’t want to receive a fun Easter basket?!

I love these Chocolate Nest Cups.  I’ve seen them made a few different ways but I prefer to make mine with potato sticks.  I love a good sweet and salty combo and this fits the bill.

I hit up Sam’s Club the other day to see what fun things I can find.  While I was shopping I saw the Easter display filled with delicious chocolate goodies!  I knew I immediately had to grab the M&M’S® 62oz. Pastel Milk Chocolate Candy Bag.  I needed them to make “The baking Easter basket”  fill a glass Easter bunny jar at my home for snacking and fill the kids Easter basket with them too.

Chocolate Nest Cups

I love to fill these Chocolate Nest Cups with Pastel M&M’S® They’re festive for Easter, perfect for springtime baby showers and match the colors of the season.

So the hunt is on this year to come up with a baskets for my children that will rival the ones in the past.  I’ve already got my daughter’s pretty much set but my son can be a little challenging the older he gets.

For the Chocolate Nest Cups Easter basket I included:

  • M&M’S® 62oz. Pastel Milk Chocolate Candy Bag
  • 6 cup muffin tin
  • measuring cups
  • measuring spoon
  • spatula
  • Potato sticks
  • Chocolate chips
  • 6 Chocolate Nest Cups

These Chocolate Nest Cups Easter basket would be perfect for a neighbor.  The cups themselves are SUPER easy to make!  Imagine how much it would warm someone’s heart to get an Easter basket full of goodies that they can turn around and make for someone else.

Don’t these Chocolate Nest Cups just scream Spring!  and who’s excited for the Easter bunny!  I know I am! ???
