Sloppy Joes and Macaroni and Cheese combine to make Sloppy Macaroni and Cheese Cups. A childhood mashup of classics you won't be able to resist!
Ingredients
Sloppy Joes
- 1lb (16 ounces) Ground Beef, (I used lean)
- 1/2 cups, Onion
- 2 cloves garlic, chopped
- salt and freshly ground black pepper
- 1 cup RAGÚ® Traditional Pasta Sauce
- 2 tablespoons ketchup
- 1 tbsp(s), Worchestershire Sauce
- 2 teaspoons mustard
- 1 tablespoons brown sugar
Macaroni and Cheese
- 8 ounces elbow macaroni noodles
- 1 container (1 4/5 cups ea.) RAGÚ® Double Cheddar Cheese Sauce
- 1/2 teaspoon ground mustard
- 1/2 teaspoon fresh ground, Pepper
Sloppy Macaroni and Cheese Cups
- 3 large eggs
- 1 1/2 teaspoon Oil - Olive
- 2 tablespoons, Panko breadcrumbs
- 1/2 cup Shredded Mild Cheddar cheese
Instructions
Sloppy Joes
- In a medium skillet, brown ground beef with onion and garlic and season with salt and pepper.
- Stir in pasta sauce, ketchup, Worcestershire sauce, mustard and brown sugar and mix to combine
Macaroni and Cheese
- Boil macaroni noodles for 7 minutes. Drain.
- Add in double cheddar cheese sauce, ground mustard and pepper and stir to combine.
Sloppy Macaroni and Cheese Cups
- Preheat an oven to 425 degrees and spray a muffin tin thoroughly with cooking spray.
- In a large bowl, combine sloppy joe mixture, 3 cups macaroni and cheese and 3 eggs. Stir well.
- Using a 1/3 measure cup, portion out mixture and place into muffin tin. Bake in oven for 15 minutes.
- In a small bowl, mix together panko breadcrumbs and oil.
- Remove cups and top with with 1/2 tablespoon shredded cheddar cheese and sprinkling of breadcrumbs.
- Place back into the oven for 2-3 minutes.
- Allow to cool in pan slightly. Run a knife around the edge of each muffin cup and gently remove from pan.
Notes
*I did have approximately 2/3 cup of leftover macaroni and cheese.
