Hasselback hot dogs are stuffed with jalapeños, wrapped in bacon and grilled to perfection. Place into a bun with melted cheese and you’ve yourself some awesome Jalapeño Bacon Grilled Cheese Hot Dogs.
Ingredients
Oscar Mayer Classic Wieners 10 ct Pack (use 8 for this recipe)
2-3 jalapeño peppers, sliced and then cut in half
8 slices Oscar Mayer Bacon 16 oz. Package
8 Brownberry Country Sliced Hot Dog Buns
8 slices Kraft Singles American 24 ct Cheese Slices, 16 oz
4 tablespoons Heinz Real Mayonnaise 30 fl. oz. Jar
Instructions
Insert a skewer into the bottom portion of your hot dog, pushing all the way through. This is so when you create the “hasselback” you won’t cut through the entire hot dog.
Cut slits into the hot dog (about 8-9) and place a jalapeño slice into each slot.
Wrap entire hot dog in bacon and secure with a toothpick on each end.
Place onto the grill and cook until bacon is browned and slightly crispy. Remove and place onto plate.
Smear mayonnaise onto the outside of the bun, edge to edge. Place mayonnaise side down, on the grill, and top inside of bun with a slice of American cheese. Remove from grill when melted, being careful not to burn the bun.
Place jalapeño bacon wrapped hot dogs into the grilled cheese bread and serve.
Top with Heinz mustard and ketchup, if desired.
