These vegetarian Italian Pepper Burgers are packed with a seasoned plant-based burger patty, sautéed peppers and onions, sharp provolone cheese and pesto mayonnaise to bring you the best vegetarian burger around!

Ingredients

4- MorningStar Farms® Meat Lovers Burgers

4- slices provolone cheese

2 bell peppers, thinly sliced

1 yellow onion, thinly sliced

1/4 cup mayonnaise

2 tablespoons pesto

pepperoncinis for topping

4- Hamburger Buns

Instructions

  1. Preheat grill to medium heat.  Place frozen burgers on the grill and heat burger for 8-10 minutes turning burgers over halfway through.  Place cheese on top last minute of cooking to melt.
  2. Meanwhile, heat a medium size skillet and add 1 tablespoons of oil.  Add in peppers and onions and saute 5-7 minutes until tender.
  3. In a small bowl, combine mayonnaise and pesto.
  4. Spread pesto mayonnaise onto the top and bottom of the bun.  Place burger onto bun, top with pepper and onion mixture, pepperoncinis and top bun.
