Have you ever had a moment of panic? ? {Raises hand high} Yeah, me this weekend when I realized my husband used the last espresso cup for our espresso machine and I hadn’t placed my online order yet. How in the world am I going to make a latte now? It’s Saturday morning and if I’m going to get through my pre-spring cleaning list, I.need.coffee.now.
A few months ago, we got rid of our single cup coffee brewer. After literally going through 3 in the last 5 years, I have had it. So we went with an espresso machine and I’m never looking back…or am I?
We have a coffee pot, but it’s been stored away for a really long time and I don’t have any ground coffee in the house. I also like to sweeten my coffee and have a little froth to it, so I can feel like I’ve just hit up the drive thru with my fancy latte although I’m still sporting my robe and slippers.
So, I headed out to Walmart in a desperate attempt to purchase some espresso pods for our machine or at the very least a bag of ground coffee. Alas, the espresso cups are only available online. Option number 2, ground coffee. I chuck a bag in the cart. Now I’m cruising back towards the refrigerated section with the creamers and I laid my eyes upon International Delight® One Touch Latte™
Woah, hold the fort, I can make sweeten lattes at home with just a little coffee? The coffee Gods were smiling down on me. They have 3 flavors available; Mocha, Vanilla, and Caramel…and I got all 3. First off, I couldn’t decide, I mean how do you decide between those 3 delicious latte flavors and secondly, I mean you have to try them all right?!
I’m driving speeding home because I cannot wait to try this out. Break out the french press, pour in some grounds and hot water and wait. Full pot ready to go, but which flavor to try first? I went with the caramel. As soon as my family heard the aeration, they came running!
Now the whole family is waiting in line for a coffeehouse latte at home, and I’m about to deliver. Within 1 minute, I had 3 lattes sitting in front of us and we had a latte tasting party.
OMG! We’re so in love. Not only did this sweeten our plain ole boring, oh hum coffee, it’s flavored and frothed too! AND you can get 7 uses out of 1 can. SCORE! I’ve got coffee for almost a month, with all 3 cans I purchased, for a fraction of what my espresso pods cost or a trip through the drive thru. Best.Saturday.Ever.
It couldn’t have been simpler. I poured in 2/3 cup of coffee and then it’s a simple shake, press and hold for 5-7 seconds. BOOM, one touch latte at home. Point. Press. Obsess! ? (me) <——-obsessing
Start with your fresh brewed cup of coffee and watch the magic happen.
I also really love a little caramel drizzle on the top, so I added some of that too. See you really can be your own barista at home!
