All the classic favorites of an Italian deli sandwich, Meats, cheese, peppers, lettuce and dressing all piled high on top of a baguette make this Chicago Style Hoagie Dip a new game day favorite!
1 bread bowl, hollowed out (don't cut through bottom)
4 ounces pancetta, diced
4 ounces deli turkey, diced
4 ounces mortadella, diced
4 ounces genoa salami, diced
4 ounces provolone cheese, diced
1/2 head of lettuce, diced
1/2 cup cherry tomatoes, quartered
Dressing
1/4 cup mayonnaise
1 1/2 tablespoons extra virgin olive oil
1 Tablespoon Italian seasoning
1 tablespoon red wine vinegar
Toppings
4 ounces pepperoncinis, sliced
1/4 cup giardiniera, if desired
1 loaf French bread, sliced
In a medium bowl, combine meats, cheese, lettuce and tomatoes.
In a small bowl combine ingredients for dressing.
Combine the chopped meats, cheeses and vegetables with dressing and toss to coat.
Place into refrigerator until ready to serve.
When ready to serve, pile high into bread bowl, topped with pepperoncini's and served with giardiniera and French bread slices.
